Socializing at La Récolte

When it comes to older adult health, experts in the field are quick to share best practices and advice on maintaining physical wellness, utilizing habits such as a good diet, exercise, balance, and flexibility training and more. Occasionally, keeping an active social life is

included in this list for its potential to get seniors moving and improving cognitive health. Although these benefits of social activity are great, socialization has so much more to

offer aging adults.

Socialization is like the secret ingredient that makes a healthy senior lifestyle come together. At La Récolte we encourage our residents to make their social lives a priority.

Choice, freedom, and Opportunity.

At La Récolte our residents experience a host of services and amenities, events to socialize at La Vue and wellness programs designed to foster endless growth and personalized living. Backed by our first-rate hospitality and philosophy of continuous improvement, our residents are free to live their best life.

Come Here to Thrive.

At La Récolte, our residents thrive in pursuit of what brings them joy, with unlimited opportunities. With the confidence in quality care services available on site if health needs ever change, La Récolte makes it possible for seniors to continue enjoying the freedom to embrace life at its fullest.

Have a Positive Outlook

As we grow older, many changes occur within us both physically and emotionally and it can be stressful to cope with the aging process.

Some of the ways to deal with the painful emotional challenges that come with old age are:

Join a support group.

Interacting with individuals who have gone through your experience helps you feel less alone.

Write a memoir.

You have the time, why don’t you do it?

Reflect on the lessons, struggles, and victories of your life and share it with the world.

Many people will learn from it.

Accept the changes that have happened instead of trying to resist them.

Once you accept and enjoy what you have you will be free to live a happier life.

Meditate and take care of your spiritual needs - This will lead to a more relaxed life.

When is the Right Time?

If you have an aging parent or loved one you are concerned about, or if you find yourself acting as a caregiver by managing your loved one’s day-to-day tasks (such as groceries, laundry, cooking, cleaning, and property maintenance) on top of arranging medical appointments and care, it can quickly become a great challenge. It is even more challenging when distance adds extra burden when providing this essential care.

At La Récolte we provide that day-to-day support for your loved one along with an

all-important social component, enriching the lives of residents. Many family members of our residents express how much of a relief it is they can just spend time enjoying the company of their loved one, rather than spending time performing essential care tasks.
