La Récolte Frail Care
As seniors age, there comes a time when they are not able to care for themselves any longer. Performing daily tasks, such as dressing, bathing, cooking or even moving around becomes difficult due to physical frailty, mental incapacity or sometimes both.
In these instances, moving into a professional and fully equipped frail care facility is very often the right choice to ensure the safest possible environment and best quality of life.
La Récolte offers short and long term care with the emphasis on dignity and the individual well-being with the help of Van Biljon Nursing Services. We provide care for all age-related disabilities, including stroke patients and cancer patients.
We have different care packages available, depending on your needs.
Our frail care facility includes the following: daily meals, help with washing and dressing,
help with toilet rounds, daily record keeping of vital signs, daily wellbeing progress reports, wound care, daily activities, and basic care.
La Récolte is more than “home” to our residents, it is a place of peace and enjoyment, safety and comfort, security and dignity.
We welcome you to visit our facility and feel the warm loving embrace that each resident in our care experiences.

Live Your Best Life
With the emphasis on encouraging older adults to improve their physical, mental and social well-being, we would like to focus on the many ways that older adults can live their best lives.
We have found that the following areas are fundamental to healthy aging.
Stay Active
Older adults can benefit from simple, daily exercise such as walking or gardening. Benefits from activity include increased physical health, lessening risk of anxiety and depression, and better cognitive function.
Be Social
Research shows that isolation leads to a variety of mental health issues, including cognitive decline. Transitioning to a community of older adults have important beneficial effects on the lives of older adults. At La Recolte we have many social events at La Vue, giving our
residents the opportunity to engage with others.
Live Healthily
Proper diet, consistency in medication, good hygiene, and careful attention to risk issues can help an older adult maintain a healthy lifestyle. As our residents age they have the option of moving from independent living to assisted living and to frail care. We have all the resources available to our residents to assure that their needs are met.
